What Causes Tooth Pain

One of the most common problems people have it tooth pain, and the strange thing is that often it can be sorted quite quickly if you take the proper action and aren’t afraid to get it fixed. However many people will not do this, and hence suffer with tooth pain for a long period of time – which is a shame. The most important thing to remember is that if you have tooth pain you should go and visit your dentist as soon as possible. Many people are scared of this which is why they don’t want to visit the dentist to get it sorted, but a lot of pain could be saved by a visit. Tooth pain relief is best found by fixing the root problem, so visiting your dentist is the best and most effective way of doing this.

A lot of the time the pain is caused by cavities which are basically openings in the tooth caused by bacteria. The bacteria can then go into the sensitive part of the tooth which they then damage causing pain. A cavity is a decayed area of the tooth that has become soft which can then lead to the tooth “dying”. A dentist will be able to tell you the best course of action if you do have a cavity, which will then hopefully fix the tooth pain. There are of course other types of pain such as tooth extraction pain, but your dentist will be able to advise you on this.

Gum disease can also sometimes cause what we perceive as toothache pain, but this is something that your dentist should be able to pick up on should you give hi or her a visit. The quicker the better.

If you are getting wisdom tooth pain then you should also go and visit your dentist because you may have to have it removed. Your dentist will be able to advise you on the best wisdom tooth pain relief if that is the case.

Don’t suffer with tooth pain without getting it fixed! Whether you have severe tooth pain or not, you should always visit your dentist before you try any home remedies for tooth pain as it can save you a lot of time and effort. Good luck with getting the tooth pain fixed, I know how frustrating it can be!
