Dental Implant Cost

If you have to have a dental implant then one of the first things you might think about is how much it will cost. Dental implant cost is an important factor because if you need an implant but can’t afford it then there are going to be some serious issues to think about. In some cases insurance might cover it, but in others they won’t, so it’s important to think about how much it costs.

The cost of  dental implants is usually around $1000-$3000 for a basic implant, but this can be a lot more i=f you need other things done such as gum restoration. In  the majority of cases unfortunately insurance companies don’t cover implants, and the cost can rise dramatically to tens of thousands of dollars if you need to have a complex procedure done on your teeth. However you should check with your insurance company just in case they do provide cover for implants.

You should definitely always talk to your dentist about your options, as they will be the only ones that can really advise you on what the best course of treatment for you and your budget it.

As you can see dental implants cost a lot of money so there definitely may be problems with it. It’s important to know exactly what you should get for your money though. Usually you get a metal screw put into the bone where the implant needs to be. One this has healed, usually several months, a crown is put in place. The reason this costs so much money is that it required a surgical team and can need a lot of post operation treatment depending on how things go. If you don’t think you can afford it you could always ask your doctor if they provide any kind of financing plan if you find out that your insurance company won’t cover it.

So as you can tell the question how much do dental implants cost is a difficult to answer because it depends on so many things. The actual implant itself probably won’t cost as much s the cost of doing the procedure which is just a fact of dental work and health work in general. Low cost dental implants are usually not an option unfortunately., although there will be some different in price depending on where abouts you are located in the country and what the cost of dental work is like in that area. This applies to all kinds of dental work though and not just to the cost for dental implants.
